Meet Evan Davis

I have been in the Texas wine and food business for over 15 years. After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu, I worked in some of Austin's finest restaurants. Late one night after a 16 hour day feeding the hungry public, I went in the dining room and saw the floor staff and sommeliers sitting at the best table, drinking champagne and talking. I knew right then I was on the wrong side of that line! And a chance trip to Napa Valley really blew my mind and started me thinking about a career in wine. I took a job at a french bistro with an amazing wine list run by some of Austin's brightest sommeliers. For the last ten years I have been with Spec's Wine, Spirits, and Finer Foods. Starting as a salesperson, and for the last 6 years have been the corporate wine educator and supplier coordinator for central Texas. 

I hold the following professional certifications:

Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers

Certified Specialist of Wine with the Society of Wine Educators

WSET Level III with Distinction

I believe wine education should be inclusive, informative but most of all fun. I enjoy instructing wine lovers at every point along their wine journey, from curious enthusiasts to seasoned collectors.
